Does the IMB PG Office use IMB EOI forms?
The simple answer is a resounding YES (where they are available).
IMB Lab Heads who use the IMB EOI process will receive multiple returns on the investment - as will the IMB PG Office.
For example, once an IMB Lab Head has used the IMB EOI form to help them arrive at the decision to support an applicant (whether undergraduate, Honours or postgraduate), they must use Pebbles Senior to submit a nomination to the IMB PG Office.
This online nomination process provides a means to upload applicant IMB EOI forms (drag and drop as a single pdf file via a web browser). Once uploaded the IMB EOI form will be archived against the new applicants list in Pebbles Senior, providing each IMB Lab Head with a means to monitor their nominations (and associated IMB EOI forms), and track progress through the administrative process. Simultaneously the online nomination process creates a new applicant in the IMB PG Office database (Pebbles Office) and appends both the nomination form and the IMB EOI. Not only is this useful to the IMB Lab Head, but the IMB PG Office will make use of the IMB EOI form to fast track interactions with applicants, reducing delays in obtaining key information and documents, and hopefully leading to more timely commencement dates.
While the use of IMB EOI forms by IMB Lab Heads is highly recommended, it is not mandatory. If individual IMB Lab Heads have already established an efficient means to respond to and efficiently and fairly review a large number of selected applicants, they are welcome to continue using their own methods.
