UQ Student Clubs
UQ enjoys a rich and diverse student community.
Mates@UQ - Free to all UQ students, Mates@UQ aims to build a stronger UQ community through events, programs and activities aimed to help students meet new people, have fun and relieve the stress of everyday uni life. Events are run on and off campus, throughout the semester, for anywhere between 20 and 250 people.
UQ Clubs and Societies - UQ Union provides a multitude of Clubs and Societies to help students build their social life while studying at UQ. There are currently over 150 clubs with a combined membership of +25,000 students.
UQ Sport - A not for profit organisation wholly owned by the University of Queensland, established in 1911 as "The University of Queensland Sports and Physical Recreation Association". Since then UQ Sport has developed into a passionate and vibrant organisation that specialises in sport facility management. UQ Sport embraces the underlying principle that sport and physical activity can play a significant part in the development of the social and cultural life at the University of Queensland. By creating equality for everyone and engaging with them in a respectful, honest and transparent manner, UQ Sport hopes to nurture the health and wellbeing of everyone associated with UQ, both past and present.
